Your dog should be fed small to medium meals, more than once in the course of the day. This ensures that he/she is not eating too hastily. Also, by creating a "challenging" position for your dog while eating, you may lead him to eat slower and avoid scarfing down food too quikcly. For at least an hour after eating, your dog should not play or exercise excessively. Make sure that none of the food is fermented, especially in the summer, when it is prone to occur.
